Oh no...

Blogger just informed me that I am out of storage space for photos.  No more posting photos on this blog.  We are exploring our options, which include paying for more photo storage or beginning another blog... stay tuned!

Three Weeks

Hello, it's me.  I'm not as sleepy as I usually am, so I feel like I'm able to update the blogs:

Jane is three weeks old.  Last night, I feel asleep after feeding her at 9.  I didn't feed her at 11 like I had planned to do.  She slept until 2:30 am.  This is a fluke, but it left her parents feeling somewhat rested!

She is really alert during her awake times now, holding her little head up, staring at faces, and being super cute.  Jane eats every 3 hours, but her nighttime feedings are still different almost every night.  She does, however go right back to dreamland after middle of the night feedings, which is so very kind of her.

Grace, Leah, and Avery continue to love having her around.  The requests to hold her are not as frequent as they were at the beginning, but the three of them are all very helpful to me still.

Yesterday, I went out all by myself to vote, and then I went to the Mall and ordered a Starbucks grande gingerbread latte in a Christmas cup.  This mother of four really appreciated the break, thank you Steve!  I love my lattes and I love coming home to my brood of girls!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of our fourth adorable little girl!

Jane means "God is gracious", and He certainly is.  

I was blessed to have a quick, calm labor and delivery and baby Jane has been doing well from the very beginning.  Her big sisters adore her, and the most common thing to hear around our house is "Can I hold Jane??"  Even Avery loves to look at her and say "dee-dee!", her version of baby, over and over again.  

As you have probably guessed, many more pictures will be coming in the days and weeks ahead! The photo above was taken at the hospital when she was one and a half days old.

Update

I'm still at 3cm, but God was so good to me because I ended up seeing my favorite OB who is incredulous that his colleagues sent me home from the hospital twice already.  Bless his heart.

He's on call on Thursday, and he told be that if I'm not in labor by then to call him up and he'd bring me in and take care of starting labor for me.  I'm always one to follow doctor's orders, so Thursday is circled on my calendar!
