Grove City Homecoming

Leah, Grace, and their friend baby Chloe

All the cute girls-- we have Kevin and Steve outnumbered for sure.

The whole fam standing in front of Hopeman Hall, Steve's former home-away from home.

At Steve's alumni lacrosse game. The old guys lost, but it was a good game!

Grace and Leah got their own name tags, since we registered for Steve's 5 year reunion.

Leah spent the entire lacrosse game eating. She put away all the snacks I brought for the day.

Can you find the cute Deterdings?

We had a great time at Homecoming! The girls did pretty well on the trip to Pittsburgh, and we got to spend the weekend with Kevin and Alison and Chloe! (Kevin and Alison of camping fame). Grace especially loved meeting baby Chloe- she still talks about her.

On Saturday, we drove to GCC for the morning alumni lacrosse game. Steve was battling a cold but thankfully he was able to play. If he was functioning at 100%, I'm sure the outcome would have been in the old guys' favor!!! Grace left the game with Uncle Matt to watch the parade.

After the game we enjoyed the 5th reunion lunch and then walked around campus with the girls. Grace loved the marching band's half-time show. Since then, "marching band" has been one of her new favorite games to play at home. Maybe she'll grow up to be a band geek?

There was the annual Rho cookout for dinner, and then we went back to Kevin and Alison's home in Pittsburgh for a relaxing evening and church the next morning. The whole weekend demanded 12+ hours of driving with two toddlers, but we decided it was worth it!

Even though it's a lot of driving for you guys, we love having you come and visit! I'm so glad that we're still such good friends "this long" out of college :)

me too! that drive will never discourage us from a visit! we just need to get a pimped-out mini van and then it'll be a piece of cake:)
