The Volunteer State
We took a trip to Tennessee June 28-July 2 to celebrate my friend Laura's wedding, and to visit with Scott and Amy, Steve's sister and brother-in-law.
We did all of our traveling through the night, and although it was a little rough on her parents Grace slept peacefully the whole time! We began in Townsend, TN where we shared a cabin with my family and our good friends the Lankfords. It was great to spend some time with the other bridesmaids (many of them friends from college) and drink our fair share of sweet tea. I'll post a slideshow of my wedding pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it.
After the wedding we headed further south to Chattanooga where we were able to spend a couple days with Scott and Amy and cousin Gus (still in utero but making his presence known!) Grace went to her first drive-in movie and played on a playground for the first time. Thanks for the great visit, guys!

Bridal Shower
My friend Laura is gettin' hitched June 30th!
Here are pictures from the Mexican-themed bridal shower I threw her at my Aunt and Uncle's farm.
Baby Bird
Grace's first O's game!
Decked out in her Orioles onesie, Grace made her first visit to Camden Yards on Friday night. It turns out that the rather loud PA system in the upper deck was a bit too much for those little ears to handle! So Grace and Steve spent the evening together walking back and forth across the entire stadium a few times, showing off her cuteness to police officers, Camden Yards ushers, and other fans.
By the way, the Orioles lost--again. Grace is destined to be an O's fan, so it's best that she gets used to disappointment from the get-go.

Bath Time
Grace seemed to like lounging around in her bath the other day...
We recently went in for her two-month check-up. Grace is now 11 lbs. 8 oz. and 23 1/2 inches long! She also got 5 immunizations and handled them like a little trooper. The pediatrician is impressed with her alertness and rather strong neck muscles! She always has to be sitting up or attempting to crawl these days...lying down is for babies!! We're just waiting for her to decide to get up and walk across the room.
