Leaf

A screensaver-worthy picture of Grace and her first autumn leaf (before she ate it).

Our family had a great time at our church's Fall Fest last weekend, where Grace grabbed the leaf and my friend Stacy grabbed this picture!

Now that she is approaching seven months, Grace loves to sit on the floor and play with things. She chooses her favoite toys -- especially balls and books--and bangs them around; she claps her hands; and often flops onto her belly to reach for something. No crawling yet, although she can sort of scoot backwards. Grace is becoming ever more expressive. She is even starting to complain with frustrated cries when we take something away or walk with her toward her crib for nap time! Oh no, it's starting! She just seems older and older every new morning.
